WHAT IS TELECARE?

Telecare services provide support and assistance to elderly, frail and disabled people across the country, using monitoring and communication technology. The most common form of telecare is the personal alarm - often known as a Careline alarm, Lifeline alarm or Telecare alarm. Personal alarms tend to come in two parts: a base unit and a wearable pendant device.

The personal alarm connects the user to the alarm provider’s monitoring centre, where trained staff can respond quickly. One push of a button sends an alert from the wearer’s alarm through to the monitoring centre. Staff (usually called a care team or response team) will send help by calling the user's emergency contacts and the emergency services.

During your search for a Careline alarm, you may see other terms used such as Lifeline and Telecare. These terms are commonly used in the industry and they all mean the same thing.

WHY TRUST CARELINE COMPARE?

I care about your needs –

I built Careline Compare with your needs in mind, after my own mother used her personal alarm after suffering a fall. Within a matter of moments, her monitoring team were in contact with me and the emergency services. Without such a system, it may have taken a number of hours for me to discover that my mother had fallen.

I know that price is important and that everyone’s financial situation is different. That is why you can see exactly how much each plan costs annually and monthly through our compare table.

I keep things simple –

I understand that the telecare industry is aimed at the elderly and disabled, as well as their children who are looking on their behalf. I have made this website as easy and simple to use as possible.
